Notice about Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)
As of February 5th, it is recommended that travelers avoid all nonessential travel to the People's Republic of China. Although Japan is close to China, the number of patients in Japan was reported as only 16 as of February 4. All of the symptoms were mild.
Based on these information, the AsiaBSDCon organizing team believes that the risk level of entering Japan is just the same as usual. AsiaBSDCon 2020 will be held on March 19-22 as planned.
Note that most of governments of Asian countries have suspended international flights between mainland China. Please check your flight schedule if you plan to take a flight from/to airports in mainland China. Also note that regions where people are recommended to avoid include only mainland China, not include the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau, or the island of Taiwan.
